Detailed directions : Park your car in the parking lot at the trailhead. Fill the permit at the Icehouse canyon trailhead and leave a copy in the brown box before you start hiking.

From the Icehouse canyon trailhead walk for a little over a mile on the Icehouse canyon trail.

At the Chapman trail fork  continue on Icehouse canyon trail. Continue on Icehouse canyon trail for another 2.2 miles before you reach Icehouse saddle. In case you are wondering about where the Chapman trail goes, it takes you to Cedar Glen trail camp and joins the Icehouse canyon trail again.

At the Icehouse saddle you can see many trails going in all different directions. You can go to Timber mountain, Telegraph peak, Thunder mountain on one side; Ontario peak, Bighorn peak on one side; and Cucamonga peak trail on the other side. Continue on to Cucamonga peak trail.

Except for about half a mile after the Icehouse saddle the trail is a steady climb. Continue on the Cucamonga peak trail till the end, 2.4 miles from the Icehouse saddle. After a mile or so on the trail look for the wooden post with an arrow as shown in the picture and continue in that direction.

Enjoy the views once you are at the peak. You will be able to see Rancho Cucamonga from the peak. Be safe when you are taking pictures on the rock.
