Note : You are not allowed to go all the way to the top of the mountain, you can go till the yellow gate shown in the last picture.

The hike starts at around 1,800 ft.
It is a roundtrip of 6.4 miles including the detours to the missile launch sites that are on either side of Palo Sola truck road.
At 700 ft from the parking lot keep right at the fork to stay on Browns Canyon road. At about a quarter mile from this fork keep right to continue on to Palo Sola truck road.
You will pass the missile base, stay on the paved road for another 2 miles to get to the yellow gate.
This is as far as public are allowed to go.
If you are lucky you can even see deer on the way to the parking lot. There are no restrooms on this hike. There is an old rusted bus and few abandoned buildings that you can see on the way. Checkout the gallery below for more pictures.
