Monrovia waterfall hike is an excellent choice if you are hiking with kids and family or even alone. You will be rewarded with cool views on the way and with a 30 ft waterfall at the end of the hike. This is a 1.3 mile shorter hike, for the longer 2.5 mile hike, click here.
Detailed directions : Park your car in the parking lot near Sawpit dam. You will have to pay for parking at the Ranger check-post on N Canyon Boulevard and drive to the parking lot (if you park in the parking lot near the Ranger check-post, it will be a longer hike). Parking is $5 on week days and $6 on weekends.
Look for Waterfall trail signs and continue for about 400 ft before the Nature trail merges with the Falls trail.
You can manage to cross the stream without getting your shoes wet if you step on the stones.
Keep left here to continue to the waterfalls. Or take the same detour which leads to a stream and a dead end.
At about 0.7 miles from the Nature trail junction you will reach the waterfall.
